Recon V2
Recon V2 is the most solid tripod I’ve ever 0wned. I owned several Swarovskis, Manfrottos, Peak Design, Velvon, and more. Though each one has their usefulness, supporting spotting scopes, LabRadar, SLR camera, as light travel photography. The Recon is the best to support my rifles. My 6-dasher weights around 25 lbs. But the Recon can support up to 50kgs. The V2 version is also slimmer and straight compared to the original. The leg locking mechanism is solid and quick to deploy. It’s worth every bit of the $600 price tag. And Two Vets even laser engraved my name on it!!!

The Recon V2 checks all the boxes!
Two vets hit it out of the park with the Recon V2. It is rock solid. I have great stability when shooting my heavy PRS rifles off of it. It is also relatively light. I’m looking forward to having it with me on my next mountain hunt. The overall quality is top notch with all the tactile interfaces being well thought out and they function great. I’ve been dry firing off my Recon V2 daily for several weeks and taken it to the range 3 times. Based on these initial impressions I expect this to last for a long time. Also, given my interactions with the Daniel at Two Vets I am confident they will take care of me if anything ever did come up. *Extra info - I looked at lots of tripods before making this purchase. All the amazon tripods I saw were no where near the level of quality. The fit and finish on the adjustment tabs were poor to the point that they affected function (some of the guy's tripods were “brand new”). More importantly, they weren’t as stable. I’m not sure how the other manufacturers do their ‘layers’ or layups but the tripods I saw were less rigid (and still heavier). Any of the similar ‘tier’ of tripods I saw were either 2x the price or significantly heavier and not something I want to take hunting.

Stable, sturdy and light
I recently used this at a two-day match in TEXAS. This tripod helped me clean a stage or two when I used it as rear support. I was also able to use it to rest my binos on and spot impacts and misses. I’ve also been using it to dry fire and it’s is very stable with tac-table on top of a leofoto leveling head. Thank you!

Recon V2
Had this shipped to me incredibly quickly by Daniel and was able to ruck with it and use it in the vortex team sniper challenge in the LRRP division. The tripod was incredibly sturdy for the weight, quick to adjust, and exactly what I wanted. Talked to Daniel about my use for the tripod and the types of matches and scenarios I wanted it for, that I would have to ruck with it, etc and he recommended the recon v2. It took a beating and isn't as pretty as when I first got it, but it performed flawlessly! Great tripod from a great company with a great guy behind it! Highly recommend anything that Daniel puts the name "Two Vets" on. Great guy to deal with!
